Kilbeggan Cottage is just 7 km from Oberon, a 1100 metre-high timber town just west of the Blue Mountains. The cottage is down a quaintly named country lane — Faugha Ballaugha Road.  The Jenolan Caves, Blue Mountains and the historic city of Bathurst are all within a 45-minute drive.

If you are coming from Sydney, drive down Oberon’s main street until, just past the shopping centre, you come to a Caltex service station on a corner on the right. Turn right here into North Road, which becomes Lowes Mount Road, and follow this road for 6.7 km. The turnoff to Faugha Ballaugha Road, a gravel road, will then be on the left. Drive down Faugha Ballaugha Road for 700 metres until the road does a 90-degree turn to the right. The cottage, about 50 metres from the road, will then be directly in front of you. Enter via the roadway to the cottage’s left.
